The Founder and Director of Charleston House Gynecology, Dr. Kamilia Smith is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a certified menopausal practitioner through the North American Menopause Society and a clinical assistant professor. She has completed an Executive Healthcare Leadership Fellowship from Creighton University. Additionally, Dr. Smith has pursued training in obesity, weight management, and aesthetics to address the many needs of today’s women.
A native Texan, Dr. Smith completed her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M. She graduated from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed her residency at Baylor University Medical Center in 2007. After graduating, she practiced at Baylor University Medical Center for 13 years.
Dr. Smith believes in the advocacy for better healthcare for all women. Moreover, she has served the women of Texas by championing policy improvements in Washington DC and Austin.
Kamilia resides in the Lakewood area with her husband and three children. Motherhood is one of her highest callings and it inspires her daily, both personally and professionally. She considers serving the women of her community a true privilege.
